Student Achievement Awards - 9th October

For your enthusiasm in the classroom this week, especially when displaying data on a picture graph. You were able to display the information neatly and showed your understanding of the data by sharing facts about it. 

Georgia this week you showed confidence and resilience when performing our 'Be Kind' song to the class. You had a smile the whole time and we're so proud of yourself for trying new things. Congratulations superstar. 

Viktor you have shown such a positive attitude in your return to school this week after the holidays. Well done on showing such focus, determination in all lessons, but also for being such a kind classmate. Your persuasive writing piece for why Syndal South should become a nude-food school has been very convincing - keep up the wonderful work! 

What a great start to your time at Syndal South Maxwell! Well done for taking on all the new things that come with starting at a new school! You listened well, followed instructions and asked when you weren't sure. Congratulations!

Harvey, congratulations on fantastic persuasive sentences explaining why poisonous spiders were more dangerous than spiders. You had a great start to your sentence using "I strongly believe" and explaining that "poison can make you die."

Eleanore, well done on a wonderful start to Term 4! You have shown a positive attitude towards all learning tasks and displayed resilience when faced with challenges. Thank you for being a caring classmate when other students need your help. Congratulations, Eleanore! 

Well done Juli on the thought and effort you put into planning and drafting your persuasive writing this week. You carefully chose persuasive openers and language to add emphasise to your reasons, and expertly constructed a rhetorical question to support your argument. Great work!

For your consistent efforts during reading lessons. I was pleased to see you using one of our weekly vocabulary words 'heave' in your writing. You were able to write a detailed description from the point of view of the main character in our weekly text Move that Mountain. Well done!

Well done Rishaan on your work in grammar this week. You have been able to identify independent and dependent clauses and find the connecting word in sentences. You consistently work hard in class and always give your best effort. Well done!

Congratulations Kate for making a fabulous start to Term 4! Your attention and enthusiasm to Literacy and Maths tasks this week has shown maturity and a sense of self confidence. Well done on your positive achievements! You are a star!

Congratulations Auryn on your great work this week in Maths. You were able to calculate worded time problems using the basic operations of addition and subtraction. You listened carefully in class discussions and were able to use your knowledge of time to help other students during pair share activities. Keep up the great learning.

Congratulations to Celine for settling in well to SSPS. Celine is an enthusiastic student who is working hard on learning to speak English. She enjoys participating in all classroom activities and is not afraid to take risks with her learning. This week Celine produced a one-page detailed recount about her holidays. Awesome work, Celine!

Congratulations Leonardo on your improvements in reading. You read the non-fiction text fluently, understood the writer's message and gave logical reasons as to why the title of the text was a good choice. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations Olga on your amazing work ethos. It is a pleasure to see you push yourself during maths groups and take such pride in your achievements. You are a Super Star!

Congratulations Riley on always being such a reliable and helpful class member to all. Whenever their is an issue or something needs to be explained, you are able to successfully problem solve or help the person in need, sometimes even the teachers! Keep up the amazing job!

Congratulations Ashley for fantastic focus on creating your blind contour versus observational sketch artwork. The results were stunning!
