Referendum Cake Stall – what a success!

Syndal South families should be very proud of all our efforts with the cake stall. There wasn’t a spare centimetre of space on our tables because were just groaning with beautiful homemade cakes, biscuits and slices.  Thank you to everyone who baked for us, and to all the parents who helped to wrap and sell the cakes.  It was our most successful cake stall ever, and together with the sausage sizzle, we raised over $4000 for the new school library.  It was a fantastic effort from everyone.  Special thanks to Michelle and Julie in the office who did so much buying and organizing for the stalls.

Spoil-the-Staff Day

Every year, our parents put on a morning tea and lunch for all the teachers and support staff at Syndal South to say thank you for all the hours they spend teaching, preparing, supervising, and supporting our children.

This year, the Spoil-the-Staff Day will be on Wednesday 1st November in the TeamKids room.  The Parent’s Association will provide platters for lunch, but we are also hoping some parents might like to make a small donation to the day.  We have made a list of small food items that we would love to have donated for the event, such as strawberries, blueberries, crackers and cheese.

Please take a look at the food list on the Volunteer Signup sheet at https://volunteersignup.org/DP9XW.  If you would like to donate one of the items on the list, please write your name against it so that no-one else donates the same item.

You can drop the items into the office on Tuesday 31st October or on the morning of 1st November.

It’s a lovely way to make our staff feel appreciated.
