Principal's Message

WOW!

What a musical SPECTACULAR!!

Last night’s performance of ‘Back to the Future’ was a real showcase of the talents of our children (and teachers) here at Christ Our Holy Redeemer. I was so proud of the children and their performances. They have put in an enormous amount of time and effort to prepare for the show, developing many skills and having plenty of fun along the way.

The feedback from parents, grandparents and friends has been overwhelmingly positive; the student performances, the manner in which the children moved on and off the stage, the narrators, the staff item, the finale, the venue itself and in particular, how much the children enjoyed themselves.

Again, congratulations to all the children and a sincere thanks to Molly Greely and all the teachers for preparing the children and to all our dedicated support staff who helped in so many ways to ensure that the show would run smoothly. Thanks also to the many parents who assisted with costumes. Your support is sincerely appreciated.

We will be sure to share the link to the concert video when this has been shared with us from Video Essentials.

Netball

Kate Duckett, one of our mums, is currently organising an Under 11's COHR netball team, who, by the way won the premiership in their first season of competition!

Kate is looking for expressions of interest in establishing another team in another age group. Training would take place on a Tuesday after school until 4:30pm and would require some extra parental assistance.

Please contact Kate via email at;

jkduckett@gmail.com

to express interest in your child joining onother team.

Non-Food Sharing Reminder

Just a reminder that we expect that children do not share their food with others at school. We have a number of children with allergies to different foods as well as children with anaphylaxis.

While we can not ban food types we can certainly reduce the likelihood of a student having an allergic or anaphylactic reaction.

3.20 pick-up

A reminder that commencing next term the end of the school day will be 3:20pm.

If families require After School Care for their children please contact Youth Leadership Victoria.

Hats

A reminder that it is compulsory for students to wear their hats when outside in Term 4.

If you haven’t already done so, can you please ensure that your child’s hat is returned to school by the first day of Term 4.

Footy Colours Days and Footy Fundraiser

Don't forget your footy colours for tomorrow as well as our special lunch day.

The children are having a lot of fun with this social justice fundraiser, with funds being collected by the Mini Vinnies team and directed to the St Vincent de Paul Society.

The final tally will be announced at the end of the day tomorrow.

I would like to congratulate the children on their efforts this term and thank the teachers for their enthusiasm and dedication to their profession. I hope all our children and families manage to take some ‘time out’ these holidays to relax and spend some quality family time together.

Don't forget to save the date for...........

I look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 4 on Monday 2nd October.

Take care everyone!
