50,000 Toasties

The Healesville High School Breakfast Club was started by Lyn Scotchmoor (Wellbeing Coordinator at the time) back in 2008 and was 100% funded by the school. This program has continued to operate every Wednesday, supplying a delicious free breakfast and hot milo to help our students start the day right. We all know the power of a good breakfast and a friendly smile and the impact it can have on building a positive culture and friendly community.

The current Breakfast Club staff of Danny, Nella, Kerry and Nat have been working together to make this amazing program function for the past six years, with Kerry being the last standing member of the original program (15 years later – amazing!).

Earlier this term, one of our students, Archie Kirby was the lucky recipient of the 50,000th toasted sandwich produced by our amazing Breakfast Club. As a result, he has also collected a $20 gift voucher.

Thank you to all of the staff that run (and have run) this program and also to those who always make an effort to pop in.
