Health and Physical Education

Health and PE students have had a very busy few months developing their skills in a variety of areas.

Year 7 students have been focusing on Target Games in PE and recently went on an excursion to Oz Ten Pin Bowling. The students loved being able to practice their skills in a different environment and represented the school incredibly well. In Health, students have covered Puberty, looking closely at changes that occur and categorising these changes into physical, emotional, and social changes. Concluding this unit, students completed a test which they prepared for in class.

Year 8 students have been focusing on Sexuality and Identity in health with great class discussions. In PE students have been playing a variety of net and wall sports with lots of friendly competition.

Throughout the junior HPE electives students have been involved in a variety of activities outside of the school including the driving range, tenpin bowling, bike riding, local walks and a high ropes course. Students are fantastic on excursions and enjoy all the opportunities available to them.
