Busy times ahead……
November and December are busy times for the music department, music students have no time to relax as we move into our busiest time of the year. It is important everyone attends scheduled rehearsals on time and continues to do some home practice. Every member of the ensembles has a responsibility to do their best.
A number of instruments are being left in the music centre store room. We would like students to take their instruments home, especially over the weekends when there might be more time to play them.
As the weather warms up, it is worth reminding students to bring water bottles to afternoon rehearsals and have a snack before the rehearsal starts.
2024 Re-enrolment
The 2024 re-enrolment forms will be going out with the booklists. We ask families to fill these out and return these as promptly as possible so we can move forward with 2024 planning. Hire forms will be sent separately with the outstanding instrument cost. If families have any queries, please contact Kim Green in the music department.
Students thinking of joining the music program next year should get their enrolment form in this year. Extra enrolment forms can be obtained from the music centre.
Year 12 Music Students
We wish our year 12 music students all the best as they start their exams. While we will say goodbye to them more formally later in the year, we thank them for their contribution to the music program and in advance for coming back when they have finished, to perform at our end of year events. They are currently preparing for their Graduation performance.
