Lots of ‘last times’

A reflection from Head of Senior Secondary, Julia Boland.

With Year 12 Graduation just around the corner I am finding myself increasingly saying, “this will be your last……” to Year 12. It is only fitting that as we approach the final stretch of this incredible journey, we take a moment to share deepest gratitude with our parents, staff and students. To our parents, thank you for entrusting your students to us. To our staff, thank you for playing a pivotal role in these students growth and development. To our graduates, thank you for being an integral part of our community. As you soon become Calrossy Alumni we look forward to your entering into a new phase of your life.

Opportunities to Celebrate

  1. Year 12 Muck Up Day - Monday 18th September: Let the laughter and joy fill the halls as we celebrate this traditional day of fun and camaraderie.
  2. Year 12 Retreat - Tuesday-Wednesday, 19th-20th September: A time for reflection and bonding as you prepare to step into the next chapter of your lives.
  3. Boarder Farewell - Wednesday, 20th September: An emotional and cherished event, marking the end of a unique journey for our boarders.
  4. Graduation - Thursday 21st September: The culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and personal growth. A moment to be proud of.
  5. Formal - Friday 22nd September: An evening that will forever hold a special place in your hearts as you bid farewell to Calrossy.

Last time playing for Calrossy

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Seniors Rugby Night at Scully Park last Friday. The atmosphere was electric, and it was heart-warming to witness the Junior School students' pride and enthusiasm. A special thanks to our P & F volunteers, Boarding staff and students, and Junior School students who contributed immensely to the success of the event. The support from wonderful Alumni further enriched the evening. We're proud to announce that our event raised $3000, a testament to the spirit of our community. The money raised will be split between Serendipity and the McGrath Foundation.

The ‘last time’ in Monday Chapel

Today in Chapel Zanthie Hewett addressed her peers for the ‘last time’ in her role as Chapel Prefect. In her ever gracious and poised eloquence, Zanthie reflected on her own journey reminding us all of God’s goodness. I can’t think of a better way to end this message than pointing to the hope we have in God.

Psalm 31: 19

“How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you.”
