Maths in B4

Over the past two weeks, B4 and other Year 3/4 classes have begun looking at measurement. Last week we investigated length and using the measurements of mm, cm and m. We identified that 'perimeter' means the measurement around an object and have now moved on to look at 'area'. On Tuesday, we started to explore how to measure the area inside an object. We created square metres using newspaper and masking tape, which were then used to measure objects. This has been a great visual experience for our class to see.
