School Council

On Monday night School Council members participated in School Council Finance Training as provided by the Department of Education.  It was very informative and insightful and will assist us with how we support the school leadership team in managing school finances and ensuring that our children receive all possible opportunities.  

You might not be aware but it is one of my roles at School Council President to be a part of the "sign off" process on all money spent by the school and it is the responsibility of the School Council to endorse all of our Schools finances, budgets and spending's.  This is a responsibility we don't take lightly, and hence why it was so great for us to have to opportunity to participate in the training.

Our next School Council meeting is on Monday September 11th.  This is our Open Meeting to which we invite all members of the school council community to attend.  If you have any questions or concerns you would like to raise with School Council or if you would just like to see how the Council operates, please feel free to come along.  We meet at 7pm and welcome all who would like to attend.
