Year Five/Six News 

Over the last two weeks, the Year 5/6 students have been learning about chance and probability. We looked at different outcomes for games and the likelihood of events happening. It tied in very well with our fractions, decimals and percentage unit to list the outcomes. In the second week, the students created their own game. They had to list the outcomes, what the chances were of winning the game and whether their game was fair or unfair. They had a great time then going around and playing each everyones games.

Over the next couple of weeks, the Miners Rest PS Veggie Garden will be up and running. To get this underway, some year 5/6 students have been working hard to fill the gardens with soil. We got very lucky to get some sunshine.
