Year Three/Four News 

This term the Year 3/4 students have been working hard to improve their handwriting. We have been learning how to use the exits on the letters to join letters together. This helps students build fluency in their writing and develop their own personal writing style. Each Monday students participate in an explicit handwriting lesson to learn each type of join. Students make sure they are seated comfortably and holding their pencil correctly. We do a warm-up activity to get our finger muscles ready before we write.  After the explicit lesson, every day throughout the week students will practice the join they have learned. Joined handwriting is not always easy, however each week students are showing improvement in their handwriting skills.
