Spring into Family Outdoor Challenge
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Spring has sprung and our sunny days are a reminder to step outside and enjoy the fresh air and daily exercise. Take the opportunity to walk around the many parks and beaches in our nearby community.
On Father’s day, my family and I walked the track from Roches Beach to May’s beach. You can park at the southern end of Roches beach and it is a reasonably short walk to one of the most beautiful and secret beaches in the Hobart region. The water was a stunning aqua blue along the coast and as we walked, we chatted and caught up with each other as a family.
One of Physical Education outcomes, is to participate in physical activities that enhance health and wellbeing in natural and outdoor settings. My challenge for families this spring is to take a walk together somewhere that you haven’t been before. Talk together about what you can see and feel and take a breather to appreciate what we have around us.
Please ask your children to share their adventures with me in PE. I love to hear of new places to discover.

Happy adventuring outdoors!
