Wow how exciting is it too see the Matildas in action and now a semi final birth. The team has such great role models as women playing elite sport for all the aspiring players. My favourite player would be Katrina Gorry and Fowler!! The children at school are super excited about playing football now and I can only imagine if they win!!

The 3/6s competed in the district athletics at Coburg Athletics track and for some it was the first time they have had a run on a proper track. A couple of stand outs for me were the Relay Teams lots of training was put into doing correct changes as Keith the Athletics coach identified that this was sometimes the difference in getting a good result. Well three teams qualified in heats out of 6 with the Under 11 boys winning their heat and finishing second on time recorded.

Well done Luca Prohasky who finished first 1500m and second in the 100m trial. Thankyou to the teachers and ES staff who attended its always a busy day that takes a lot of organisation that would not be possible without their support!

PMP for the foundation students is continuing and its nice to see parents spending time with the children and seeing how they are in their grade and socially. I know the children love it, but I also know parents enjoy that opportunity too.

Next is Gala Day for the 5/6 students and this is a whole day event playing in a round robin the following sports. Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Newcombe volleyball and T Ball a modified baseball. All the teams will head to the Narrandjerri Stadium and McDonell park.
