Art

Students have finally completed their Recycled Junk Yard Birds and they look amazing! I have loved watching the students come up with imaginative and inventive ways to use junk. Kids really are inspiring!!! Thank you to all those families that have collected recycled materials and donated these to the art room . Each new art lesson was an exciting visual adventure for the kids. The students will next paint their clay works from term two and then start work on their textile unit. Prep students are making sock toys and the one/two classes are using hessian to make animal forms. The three to six classes will be creating their stuffed toys using felt and other fabrics.

To support student learning, parents are invited to assist in the art room. You will need a current working with children check. Please sign in at the office before you come to the art room.

Craft Group

The TPS community craft group is up and running again. This has always been a great way for our parents, grandparents and carers to meet other community members in a creative space, to create craft things to sell at our next BBQ or Art festival. If you are interested in picking up a new skill or would like to share a skill, then this would be perfect for you. Your toddlers are also welcome to join you in the art room. Please contact me for further information.
