PEER SUPPORT

would like to recognise the fantastic work that our Year 5 and Year 6 students have been doing as part of our peer support program this term. Each Tuesday, these students lead a small group of students from K-6 in a specific program that explores four key concepts: resilience, sense of self, connectedness, and sense of possibility. Small group discussions are led by our senior students, who undergo Peer Leader training, and follow a structured session outline.

The program helps:

  • Build strong relationships
  • Empower students
  • Nurture a sense of belonging and inclusiveness
  • Foster an anti-bullying culture

This program plays an important role in maintaining the sense of belonging and community we have within our student body at Roselea. Well done senior students!

WELCOME KINDY 2024

This Thursday, we welcome our new Kindergarten friends into our beautiful community. Last Thursday night we had our first parent information evening which was a great event. This Thursday is a vital event to help our new students and families familiarise themselves with our school. I look forward to meeting our new students and families.

GOOD LUCK ZONE ATHLETICS

Tomorrow, we have students from Years 2-6 attending the zone athletics competition. This year the venue requirements are slightly different to last year meaning that parents/carers have to transport their child/ren to and from the venue. Good luck to all our students participating tomorrow. We know that you will do your best and make us proud!

IMMERSIVE SPACE UPDATE

As a result of fantastic fundraising from our school community led by our P&C, the rough plans for the new 'Immersive Space' have been submitted to the Department of Education Assets Unit. The next steps will involve assets liaising with potential contractors to quote for the project. I will keep you updated as we progress.

SASS WEEK

This week is School Support Recognition Week, an opportunity for us to celebrate the school administrative and support staff (SASS) and other non-teaching staff and the essential role they play at Roselea PS. We are lucky to have such a brilliant SASS team at Roselea PS. They are always smiling, always helpful and I'm sure you will join me in thanking them for all the work that they do. Happy SASS week!
