International Women's Day

March 8th annually marks International Women’s Day, a day to acknowledge the contribution women have, and do make to our society. As a school that prides itself on the kindness, inclusivity and diversity displayed in our community, we celebrate this day in a uniquely Swinburne way each and every year.

This year, students and staff were invited to contribute to a ground mural at the entrance to the school. Surrounding a larger than life “Happy I.W.D” students shared stories, laughed and reflected on the women in their lives who inspire them. 

We heard stories of friends, siblings, pop stars, authors and even one Mum whose birthday is today! We thank all of those students and staff who contributed to today’s celebrations and extend our gratitude to all of the women in our lives who support and inspire us, day in, day out.
