Grade 2

Year 2’s have had an amazing couple of weeks with lots of buzzing activity. In numeracy we have completed our division unit and commenced some exciting activities to learn about the differences of 2D and 3D shape.In Writing, we have been completing a story about an imaginary friend who helps us get up to all sorts of mischief, while also looking at making some brochures for an informative text about some of the Indigenous items we explored in our inquiry last week.In reading, we are exploring a new mentor text and responding to questions using evidence from the text, while working on setting reading goals in our guided reading groups.Of course, we also had the excitement of our hoop time excursion, which was a wonderful event and successful day of learning some new skills. We even got to try some of them out in a few games against other schools.
