Religious Education

Last Friday marked the first day of Spring and we were also blessed on this day, with beautiful visitors, being students and staff from Yarralin School in the Northern Territory.

The 1st September marks the first day of Spring and for christians, the Season of Creation. This continues throughout September up to 4th October where we celebrate the Feast Day of St  Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of Ecology (environment and animals). What a great way to begin the Season of Creation by sharing a day with a small community of our First Nations People. No doubt your child/children came home last Friday, full of excitement relaying the events of the day and celebrating new found friendships. A timely reminder that we are all part of God’s creations.

In the words of Pope Francis; All of us can cooperate as instruments of God for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, experience, involvements and talents.
