BULLY! - Mordialloc College Production

Wednesday 16 August to Saturday 19 August

Dear Families, Students and Community Members,

Tonight’s the night! The performance of this year’s school production of the play BULLY! will open tonight at 7.00 pm in the Performing Arts Centre. The production will run over four nights this week – Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th August.

BULLY! by Australian playwright Kristen Doherty is an epic theatre genre play which consists of vignettes, short scenes, and monologues which revolve around the contemporary issues of bullying; themes include school yard bullying, cyber bullying, racism, exclusion, peer pressure, frenemies, gender, and bystanders - all pressing issues that affect our friends, children, and students every day, issues we can no longer ignore.

Designed to be performed and watched in a high school context, Bully! is designed for large casts with each actor playing multiple roles with the opportunity for students to write their own scenes to integrate into the text and create their own unique production. Our talented alumni, Bronte Taylor and Eliza D’Alberto, have also choreographed a variety of musical numbers and dance pieces to bring the show to life. Every scene is based on real life accounts and events; some funny, some challenging, some heartbreaking, but all real.

**Please note this production is rated PG (Parental Guidance PG-rated content is not recommended for viewing by people under the age of 15 without guidance from parents, teachers or guardians) and includes some sensitive themes and topics (including some low-level offensive language/terms).
