Footy Tipping

Well the 2023 AFL Home and Away season is over.

Round 24 produced one major upset and there were a number of other games where the underdogs got up.  As it turned out Noah M. (Year 11 Student) was the only person to tip eight winners and as such is this week’s winner of the $50.  Congratulations Noah!

17 other people also did very well in picking seven winners.

With regard to the overall standings for the year, congratulations go out to Brady Rafferty (Class of 2021) who has been leading the competition since Round Five and survived the pressure to win by two clear games on 148, a truly remarkable effort. Congratulations Brady!

The contest for second and third was much closer, we had three people on 146 with Mark Addison (Class of 1983) on 145.

Of those that finished on 146, Natasha Watts has snared second place by virtue of having the lowest aggregate points differential (from tipping the margin in the game of each round) with third place (using the same methodology) going to Jeremy Logan (Class of 1987).  Special mention should be made of Brendan Sweeney (Class of 2013) who also finished on 146 and for the second year in a row has just missed out on the prize money but had a great year nonetheless. I bet at least one of you is regretting not picking GWS.

Brady as winner of the competition picks up $1,000, Natasha wins $400 and Loges gets $200. Congratulations to all three of you!!

Hopefully everyone has enjoyed being part of the competition this year and will be back next year. Feel free to get family and friends to join as all money made from the competition is donated to worthwhile causes.

Thanks for the support!
