Visual Arts

Make sure to check out the work currently on display around the school:

Library - Book Week activity

Year 1 and 2 Students created 2-layer prints using a range of real and artificial leaves. Next they mixed their own 'yellow-green' paint and painted frogs on inspired by one of the shortlisted books for Book Week this year, 'Snap!' by Anna Walker.

(Thanks Mrs Hagan for the awesome display of frog related books too!)

Ceramics - Office Display cabinet

Year 1 and 2 pinch pots have finally completed their full (long) process of being modelled, fully dried, bisque fired, painted with underglaze and glaze, and finally back into the kiln for a glaze firing (over 1000 degrees Celsius). Some of the fabulous results are now on display in the office inside the glass. Well done to all our budding sculptors.

Performing Arts

We have some very talented musicians at Karoo Primary School and we always enjoy seeing them share their skills in the Music Room. Below are some photos of kids sharing their skills and being celebrated by their classmates this week.
