General Information

School Uniform

The official changeover to the Summer school uniform is Term 4. However, with the weather now warming up, students may wear either the Winter or Summer uniform from tomorrow. Parents are advised to use their discretion depending on the weather. Please remember that we do not mix the winter and summer uniforms. Therefore, depending on your choice, the students are to be dressed in either Full Winter Uniform or Full Summer Uniform.

School Summer Uniform: Girls are to wear their summer dress and boys should be in grey shorts and blue short sleeve shirt. All students will need to wear short navy socks and black school shoes. Please ensure that your child has their hat clearly marked with their name.

Thank you for your support in maintaining our high standards in regards to uniform as we transition to the warmer weather.

Jewellery and Piercings

Jewellery in not permitted to be worn at school except for simple sleepers, studs, medical bracelets or watches. Nail polish or make up is not acceptable at school and should not be worn. Piercings (other than ears) are not permitted at school.

Hair

Unfortunately, we are still seeing some children coming to school with patterns shaved into their hair. Please remember that shaved patterns, dyed hair or 'rat's tails' are not permitted at school. Children with long hair must wear their hair up and off their shoulders in a ponytail or braid, etc. Only school-coloured (navy or yellow) ribbons are to be worn in hair.

P&F School Fun Run - Crazy Colour Day!

The P&F are holding a School Fun Run Crazy Colour Day as their major fundraising event for the year! The event will be held on Friday, 20th October 2023 during the school day. The P&F are really hoping to raise $20,000 which will contribute to the installation of soft fall equipment for the school playground.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Crazy Colour Day sponsorship forms which will be sent home tomorrow with your child/ren. Once you have the form, you should sign up for a Student Profile Page at http://www.schoolfunrun.com.au/ where you will be able to access the online fundraising platform. You can also win a $20,000 Ultimate Family Package! Students who raise $10 or more will receive a reward, and the more money you raise the better the reward, and the more you help the school!

The P&F are organising a great day for our school community, and they would love everyone to come down to support the kids on Friday, 20th October.

If you have any questions about the Crazy Colour Day please contact the School Fun Run Office on 1800 FUN RUN.

Thanks for supporting the school and we hope to see you at the event.

Student Absences

Due to Government regulation, notification of your child's absence must be received no later than 7 days after your child's last day of absence. Please lodge all student absences on the Compass Parent Portal or notify the school.

Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options. Just one absence per fortnight adds up to 20 missed days per year; this equates to 260 days from Kindergarten to Year 6 or 1.25 school years!
