Dear Sacred Heart School Community,
Prayer
100 Days For Our Foundation Students
Our magnificent Foundation students celebrated 100 days of school today. I must admit that I have not been very observant because I did not realise until this morning when taking this photo, how much of a toll the 100 days have taken on our Foundation students, Amanda, Ann and Francesca.
Congratulations Father Aloysius
On behalf of our school community, I would like to congratulate Father Aloysius who celebrated thirty three dedicated years to the priesthood last weekend. We are fortunate to have Father Aloysius as our Parish Priest. He is a strong advocate for our school, shows a great interest in our school's life and is a man of gentle wisdom. Congratulations Father Aloysius and thank you for your dedicated guidance.
Feast of the Assumption
On Tuesday our students from Year Three to Year Six joined our parish community at the 9.10am Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. I would like to thank all our students for the respectful way they participated in the Mass. A number of parishioners spoke to me after the Mass, to convey how impressed they were with the Sacred Heart students.

Vale Catherine
On Tuesday I attended the funeral of Sacred Heart parishioner Catherine Zanatta who passed away after a very short but incredibly brave battle against Motor Neurone Disease MND. The reason I wanted to acknowledge Catherine's legacy in our school newsletter, is because in her role as chairperson of our parish council (which I am a member of), she always championed the cause of our school. Catherine was genuinely interested in our school as evidenced by her presence on a parishioner's table at the school dinner dance in my first year at Sacred Heart and she was always one of the first parishioners to make our students feel welcome at combined school and parish Masses. You have been taken from us at such a young age Catherine. Rest in peace.
Yours Sincerely
Mark
