Year 7 Boys Cricket

Tuesday 5 March

The Junior Cricket team headed out to Caulfield Park to represent the school in the Kingston Division round robin. The boys represented the school well all day but were unable to get a win during the round robin. We came extremely close to causing an upset against Mordialloc College, needing a 6 off the final ball of the game but could only manage one run. Our best performers for the day were from Fynn B, Max S, Max O and Jasper H.

Year 8 Boys Cricket

Friday 8 March

The Year 8 Cricket Team progressed to the final against McKinnon after winning their first 2 round robin games of the day with some excellent batting from Riyan P to get us over the line. The team played well in the final, with both Jonty R and Krish T scoring 20 runs each. However, the McKinnon team were too good in the field, ultimately restricting us from making the total.

Friday 8 March

Wonderful day at Year 11/12 Beach Volleyball. Seb M and Marvin B were our Year 12 boys' pair, with Ben M and Josh W competing as our Year 11 pair. While we did not progress past the opening round of games, both pairs showed excellent sportsmanship and enjoyed the experience!

Senior Round Robin

Senior students competed in a round robin competition on Thursday 14 March - details below!

Senior Girls Basketball

Last Thursday, our senior girls basketball team participated in the Kingston round robin tournament. Although we only came away with one victory, the girls tried their hardest and were definitely the loudest team on the day, a testament to the encouragement and school spirit that they displayed.

Senior Boys Basketball

Last Thursday, our Senior Boys Basketball team participated in the Kingston round robin tournament. The boys trained two days a week before school and even gave up one lunch a week to prepare for the tournament. They won 3 out of their 5 games but unfortunately did not achieve their goal of winning the tournament. The coaches are proud of their effort and excited to see what is in store for next year with such a hardworking and promising group.

Senior Boys Futsal

In the grand final match against McKinnon, our team showed great skill and sportsmanship. Although we came in second, falling short of victory, our players gave it their all. Special shout-out to Jet C, Tommy G and Declan S for their exceptional contribution to the team's efforts. I am super proud of all the boys for their exemplary display of elite sportsmanship and their representation of the school.

Senior Girls Futsal

Despite dominating their matches earlier in the day, our girls' futsal team experienced heartbreak as they tragically came in second place. The team had shown exceptional skill, coordination, and determination throughout the tournament, securing victory after victory. However, they fell short in the final moments, narrowly missing out on the championship title. Despite the disappointment, their remarkable effort and resilience in reaching the final showcase their incredible talent and dedication to the sport.

Senior Boys Tennis

Successful day for the senior tennis team; the 'A' team fought to the end to finish the day second. Led by Hayden H, who was undefeated throughout the day in both singles and doubles. The highlight of the day was the 'B' team winning their division. The final came down to the singles match between Theo D and the McKinnon student. Theo led the team to a triumphant win.

Monday 18 March

On Monday, the senior girls cricket team competed in the state quarter-finals against Lavalla Catholic College in Moe. We lost the toss, but that was the only loss of the day as we were sent in to bat first. Shout-out to Indy for making 52, not out, Amelie making 70, not out and Lily for making an impressive 40, not out. We set an incredible total of 200 to chase and we were able to bowl them out for 60 runs, winning by 140 runs. Well down to our bowlers; Cammie, Amy and Anika. All the girls played fantastically!
