STAFF NEWS:

We wish Mrs Charlotte Laurence all the best for the upcoming birth of her 5th child. We welcome back Mrs Kate Miller who will replace Mrs Laurence as 4th teacher in Yr 1 & 2 and in Diverse Needs.

SURVEY INFORMATION:

As part of our focus on school improvement and effectiveness, St Patrick's is participating in a series of online surveys developed by Sydney Catholic Schools.

Participation in these surveys is voluntary and confidential, and may take approximately 5 minutes. The survey is open to all parents in all SCS schools, which means families have the choice for each parent to share their thoughts on any of the schools where their children attend.

Distributed at different intervals throughout the year, these surveys capture feedback in relation to topics such as; school culture, academic performance, religious mission and school engagement, allowing participants to give their thoughts and feedback by providing ratings on a sliding scale, or responding to open-ended questions.

The first of these surveys is open for parent response between March 28 - April 12.

You will soon receive a notification on either your Compass Mobile App, or Internet browser when you next log into Compass directing you to complete an insights cycle for an SCS Community Survey in Compass.

When you see the notification as a banner, click on the blue link to open the cycle, select your responses and ‘save’! - you will receive a ‘Thank you’ when completed.

Participation in these surveys is voluntary, and may take approximately 5 minutes.

To navigate back to the Insights module without a ‘banner’, you will find the module by clicking on the ‘more’ option at the bottom of your mobile screen, and selecting the ‘Insights’ tile or adding Insights, to your favourites list.

UNIFORM NOTES:

As we are approaching the school holidays you may be getting hair cuts or new shoes. When doing this please adhere to the uniform and hair cut policy.

Many students are wearing jewellery and will be asked to remove it. Please note you will be receiving a uniform email if your child is consistently not in the correct uniform. We would expect that your child will adhere to the uniform policy. This is particularly noteworthy for shoes. Sport Shoes need to be predominantly white and school shoes need to be black leather. Converse black shoes are not acceptable for school shoes. Some students have feet issues but most shoes that support that, such as ASICS, come in white or a very light colour.

Winter Uniforms orders and Transition to Winter Uniform

All winter uniform orders that have been placed will be fulfilled during the school holidays. They will be sent home with students early week 1 of term 2. Any orders that require payment can be paid for and collected from the office from Monday 29 April.

The official change over to full winter uniform is Monday 20 May. From the beginning of term 2 students may wear their winter uniform with the weather being cooler. Please note during the transition period students can only wear either their summer or winter uniform, not a combination of both.

MORNING DROP OFF:

If your child is dropped off before the bell and the gate is not open they must go and wait outside the office area to avoid congestion on the road. They will be let in via the office gate at 8:20am.  This is for students who may arrive 10 minutes or so before the bell (after 8.10am). Before school care is available for students who arrive earlier.

We have received a number of sibling enrolments for Kindergarten 2025. If you have a sibling you wish to enrol, and are yet to do so, please contact the office, as soon as possible.
