Sliding: saying each sound of a letter while reading a word.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Using a take home book or a book from home, ask your child to say each sound the letter makes in a tricky word.

They can even use this while reading their rhyming sentence.
