Gastroenteritis/Diarrhoea
Diarrhoea is a condition where you have loose and watery stools more than three times in one day. It is quite common and usually goes away on its own after a few days. Diarrhoea can be caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites or other factors. The main risk of diarrhoea is dehydration, which can be serious in children.
Children should stay at home until there has not been a loose bowel motion for at least 24 hours.
Hand hygiene is a very effective way to control the spread of infection.
