ROAD SAFETY AND PARKING
ANOTHER REMINDER TO PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY AND MINDFULLY AROUND THE SCHOOL.
We have had a number of reports of unsafe driving around our streets including a near miss this morning. Please be mindful of all the road users including bike riders and pedestrians.
We have also had multiple reports of parents parking in the Accessibility Parking spaces who are not displaying an Accessibility Permit. Please ensure you only park in designated areas and please DO NOT PARK in the Accessibility Parking unless you have a permit to do so.
SOMERS CAMP
State Primary Schools from our area have our biennial opportunity to send students from Years 5 and 6 to Somers School Camp. https://www.somersschoolcamp.org/Somers Camp is situated on Westernport Bay, 80km from Melbourne (Melway Map Ref 193 H9).
DATES: 16/07/2024 to 24/07/2024COST: $260.00
The camp provides an opportunity for social interaction between children drawn from many schools and presents a variety of challenging situations through outdoor education and contact with the local environment. The nine day commitment is essential if the social aims are to be achieved. The District Secretary will make allocations of places for schools once interest is expressed.
Please note this camp crosses the same dates as the APS ski camp (23/7- 26/7) so students would not be able to attend both.
If you are interested in your child attending Somers Camp please complete the Expression of Interest below. Please note this does not guarantee selection for this camp. The EOI is due to the office by Friday 15 March.
