F-6 Athletics Carnival

Our F-6 Athletics carnival was held on Friday 1st August. For our Foundation to Year 2 students this was their first opportunity to represent their house for the year and they definitely enjoyed it. There were plenty of smiles, cheers and support from all members of the community.

The Years 3-6 students went to work on the other side of the oval, having the chance to rotate through all of their designated athletic events. The representation across all of the age groups was excellent. To conclude the day, students had the opportunity to create a relay team and run in a 4 x 100m relay race. Plenty of kids took up this opportunity and ran their hearts out to the cheers of their peers.

Through their participation, all students earned points for their houses throughout the day.  After tallying all of the results, Brigidine came out on top followed by Delany and Augustine.

Thank you to all of the staff and our Years 9/10 and VCE PPC and VCE VM students who assisted with the events and encouraged our students throughout the day. Without their support, the carnival would not be possible.

Finally thank you to all of the families and special guests who showed up and supported our young athletes.

Secondary Clayshooting Championships

On Thursday 14th August, students Hayden and Nate, took part in the North East Clay Target Shooting Championships in Echuca. The day was a success with plenty of shooters entering the event.

Both Hayden and Nate took part in the junior shooting event.  They were both participating in their first clay shooting competition and shot over half their clays for the day.

Well done on your efforts Hayden and Nate.
