From the Principal
Hi!
We have had another busy two weeks here at school, with the highlight being the opening of the new GaGa Pits and play area. It is wonderful to see the students using these areas and enjoying the new games - such as the structured (and competitive) games of GaGa to the shop fronts where rocks are being bought and sold! We are now working on the new games area where the old bike shed used to be to further enhance the play spaces available for all students.
Thank you to Mr Moore, Miss Seymour and Ms Tate for helping organise and support the Night under the Stars. Whilst the original night was overcast the back up night was a success and enjoyed by everyone. We understand that there was again a lot of interest in the night, with tickets selling out very quickly. It is unfortunate that we cannot offer multiple nights to accommodate everyone, however the volunteer status of the organisation means they can not offer us more than one evening.
Congratulations to our Interschool Sports girls Soccer Team, with their Coach Mrs Molnar, who won the Whitehorse Division last week, we wish them all the best as they now progress to the Regional championships next week.
Next week is also Book Week, with our annual character dress up day being Monday. Please check Compass for parade times and our socials for pictures of this, as well as the author visits that are planned for the week. Thank you to Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Jackson for their organisation of the week.
Finally - thank you to our whole community for supporting us with our uniform compliance this term. We have highlighted some aspects that we wanted to improve in and have spoken to the students at assembly and sent notifications via Compass to all families about these areas. To see everyone supporting this has been fantastic and has seen an improvement in these areas. If you have any questions about uniform please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Moore or myself.
