BOOK WEEK IS ON!

Our Book Week celebrations have begun and tomorrow is our much loved Book Parade where you get to show off your creative costumes! See our 'Book Week' page in this newsletter for further details and all the latest Book Week news!  

THE BOOK FAIR IS OPEN!!!

Book Week is here and so is our fabulous "Book Fair". 

On until Tuesday 26th August, the Book Fair will be open each day before school from 8.30am-9am and after school from 3.30pm-4pm.  

So come along, say hi to Deb and support our school whilst getting your hands on the best new children’s books!  

BOOK CLUB ISSUE 6 OUT NOW!

Book Club Issue 6is out now!  

Look out for your copy of Book Club catalogue coming home in your child's schoolbag! It's packed with hundreds of books from just $3 to help you on your child's reading journey.

Please complete your order form and hand it in at the office or click here to order via the LOOP system.  

All orders are due in by Friday, 5th September. 

Please note, all orders will be sent home with students unless otherwise advised.

CHESS MATES 

Chess is back at BHNPS!  Chessmates is bringing a new, exciting program to either Tuesday lunches or Thursday after school. Further information, including cost and booking, can be found using the links below or the QR on the flyer.

PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE

Our students are making fantastic progress in the Premier's Reading Challenge! Well done to the families who have kept up to date with holiday reading. With a goal of 30 books per student (Prep-2) and 15 books per student (Years 3-6) throughout the challenge, several students have been kicking goals and providing many books to their class tally. Now with 4 weeks to go, our current class tallies are shown in this graph. 1/2A are still out in the lead for the Junior Hub, just ticking over 300 books as a class! 5/6B are leading the 3-6 competition with an impressive 217 books. Keep it up!
