Bullying. No Way! Week at Buninyong PS

This week we are recognising Bullying. No Way! Week, a national initiative that highlights the importance of safe and respectful school communities. While programs like Respectful Relationships and SWPBS are part of our everyday approach at Buninyong PS, this week gives us an extra opportunity to focus on kindness and inclusion.

If you have concerns about bullying involving your child, please speak with your child’s classroom teacher or a member of the leadership team so we can work together to address the issue.

Ukulele Fun

Our Year 3 and 4 students have been learning the ukulele in music and shared some of their songs at assembly this week. It was great to see – and hear – their progress and enthusiasm!

Past Students Visiting the School

We often enjoy past students coming to visit and hearing about how they are going at secondary school, usually on curriculum or student free days at their new school. 

We kindly ask that all students intending to visit please call or email the school (buninyong.ps@education.vic.gov.au) at least 3 days prior to a visit, and also include who they wish to see and what time they would like to call in. 

This allows us to make contact with the staff involved to make sure the day & time is suitable for this to occur and minimise any interruptions to our class programs. There are also usually lots of activities and events happening, and this way we can ensure that the visit can be timed accordingly.

Bunjil Awards

Congratulations to the following students who received a Bunjil Award at last week’s assembly. 

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind.

Well done! All of our recipients enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal.
