Middle School News

Year 7 to Year 9

Middle School Update

It has been another vibrant and enriching fortnight in Middle School, with students actively engaging in a variety of experiences both inside and outside the classroom. It’s always heartening to see our community come together to participate in the events that make Salvado Catholic College such a special place.

Our Year Nine students successfully completed the Religious Education Assessment (REA) - a big thank you to Mr McNulty and the RE teaching team for their coordination and support throughout this process.

The Secondary Inter-House Athletics Carnival was a fantastic success, filled with energy, sportsmanship, and school spirit. Congratulations to all participants and spectators, and a special thanks to Mr Fiegert, the PE team, and staff for their outstanding organisation and commitment to making the day run smoothly.

We also celebrated MacKillop House Day, a joyful occasion that brought students from Kindergarten to Year 11 together. It was truly heart-warming to witness students of all ages engaging in fun and meaningful activities as one united House.

Another highlight was the Secondary Movie Night, which offered our young people a chance to relax and enjoy time together outside of the classroom; no school uniforms required! Thank you to the Friends of Salvado (FOS) for organising this event and to the staff who attended and supported the evening.

Our recent Secondary Assembly was a proud moment for our community, as we recognised the many achievements and positive contributions of our students. Awards were presented for Semester One reports, celebrating students who demonstrated Outstanding or Very Good attributes in their Approach to Learning across all subjects. We also acknowledged our Champion Boys and Girls from the Athletics Carnival, Communio Dandjoo Awards for PCGs, and our Term Two Merit Award winners.

As we move forward through the term, we remain committed to providing rich opportunities for student engagement that support the holistic development of our young people, your children, as they continue their journey through secondary school.

Warm regards,

Mr Brendan McGrath

Head of Middle School (Year 7 to Year 9)
