Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
Wow – I can’t believe we’re already in Term 4! What an exciting term we have ahead of us as we head towards the end of our foundation year together at Turrun Primary School.
This term, we are thrilled to introduce the Footsteps dance program, running every Friday. Each year level will learn two dances—one year level dance and one whole school dance. These will be performed at our End of Year Concert on Thursday 11th December from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of our students’ creativity and confidence. More information about the concert will be shared in the coming weeks.
On Friday 31st October, we will be celebrating Teachers Day – a special opportunity to recognise and thank our incredible educators for the care, dedication and passion they bring to their work every day. Our teachers go above and beyond to ensure that every student at Turrun feels known, valued and supported to thrive. I am so proud of the culture we are building together, and our teachers are at the heart of it. We look forward to acknowledging their contribution in a meaningful and heartfelt way on this day.
This term also includes two student-free days:
- Monday 1st December – our final curriculum day for the year
- Tuesday 4th November – Melbourne Cup public holiday
On Monday 3rd November, the day prior to Melbourne Cup, Turrun Primary School will offer an alternative program for students who attend. More details will be shared shortly.
Please remember to check Xuno regularly to stay up to date with important school information and upcoming events.
Wishing everyone a fantastic Term 4!
