Book Week at Balmoral State High School

What an incredible Book Week we’ve had at Balmoral SHS! ✨

Our Book Shop Crawl was a huge success, giving our students the chance to explore different stores, discover new titles, and share their love of reading.
We were thrilled to welcome guest authors to our school, who inspired our students with stories, insights, and the power of imagination.
Thanks to this week’s celebrations, we’ve added over $400 worth of brand-new books to our library collection – fresh reads our students can enjoy straight away.

From inspiring talks to exploring shelves and stocking up our library, Book Week has been all about celebrating the joy of reading and opening new worlds for our Balmoral readers.

🏅 South District Athletics Success 🏅

Congratulations to all students who represented Balmoral SHS at the recent South District Athletics trials! Our athletes gave it their all and achieved some outstanding results across a range of events.

A huge congratulations to Harper-Lee, who was also named 15yrs Girls Age Champion for her incredible efforts. She will be officially recognised at our End of Year Sports Awards Ceremony.

These students will now go on to represent Balmoral SHS at the Metropolitan East Track & Field Trials on 28–29 August. We wish them all the best as they compete at the next level!
