Last week, students had the opportunity to make a classic Italian favourite—Pasta Pomodoro—and it was a hit! Students began by carefully boiling water on the cooktop and cooking their pasta until it was al dente. They then fried a mix of vegetables and added a tomato based sauce. To finish, students sat down and enjoyed their pasta with their classmates.
This week, we swapped savoury for sweet and baked Chocolate Orange Brownie Bites. The addition of dehydrated orange slices added a zesty twist to the rich chocolate flavour. Students began by weighing their ingredients, then carefully mixed the dry and wet ingredients to form the brownie batter. It was a fantastic chance to practise their measuring, mixing, and baking skills.
