Year 11 Report

Congratulations to all Year 11 students on completing Term 3 and advancing even closer to becoming Year 12 students!  Year 12 uniforms have been ordered and plans are well and truly underway for the many events that Year 12 offers to our students.

Term 3 has been very busy for both our VCE and VCE VM students, with many opportunities to attend various excursions, including the Outdoor Education snow camp, as well as other incursions including the Road Smart Interactive incursion, where students learned vital information about being responsible road users.

Term 4 promises to be an equally busy and exciting time for our Year 11 students.  Our VCE students will have the opportunity to experience what life is like for students at Swinburne University in the first week back. They will then undertake Unit 1 and 2 exams in weeks 6 and 7 of the term, wrapping up their final SACs by the end of Week 4 to allow for revision time in classes.  More information will be communicated about this closer to the time.

Our VCE VM students will also wrap up their assessment by the middle of week 5 before embarking on a range of incursions and excursion before rollover.  Again, more information will be published to students and families about this early in the term.

As we do approach the end of Unit 2 studies in both VCE and VCE VM, attendance at school and VET courses remains as important as ever.  We have deadlines that we must meet to submit student results to VCAA, so we ask that parents and carers support us by ensuring that their children are attending school and providing appropriate documentation if they are unable to. Taking family holidays at this time of year is particularly challenging as these deadlines loom, and we appreciate clear communication from parents and carers about anything that may prevent students from being at school.  Please note that this is also the case for attendance during rollover, when students will begin their Year 12 programs.

The Year 11 team is here to support your child and you through this final part of the year, and we are so proud of how much our Year 11s have progressed this year.  Please do reach out to us at school if you have any questions or need any support.
