2025 Book Week

Well, what a great week we had last week celebrating our annual Book Week!

This is a time of year all students in the Junior school look forward to, and as teachers, we embrace sharing our love of reading (and our borderline unhealthy collection of picture story books) with the wider school community.

During the week, students in 1/2A and 1/2B explored what makes a narrative a, well, narrative! We learnt about characters and settings, the problems and feelings that occur when something doesn't go quite right for a character, and how they go about trying to solve the problems that have occurred. Students also had the chance to write about their favourite book character using the wonderful sentence structures we've been working on during Literacy sessions.
