Parents and Friends Wood Raffle

All students will be bringing home the P&F Wood Raffle tickets this week. This is the final wood raffle for the year.

Tickets are $2 each and the winner will be drawn on Thursday 18th September.

P&F will arrange delivery of the wood.

All money raised will go to supporting the cost of camps and excursions.

Father's Day Stall

Parents and Friends are, once again, running our Father's Day stall. We are seeking donations and assistance with the stall. The stall will run of Thursday 4th and Friday 5th September during lunch break. Please let the school know if you are able to assist in any way.

Mobile Phone Policy

Please see below our school based Mobile Phones - Student Use policy.  This policy was developed in accordance with the Depatement of Education Policy, issued by the Minister of Education.

Key points

  • Mobile device refers to any mobile phone, tablet or smart watch that can be connected to or have similar functionality to a mobile phone
  • Whilst BPS understand that students will bring devices to school, particularly for travelling to and from school independently, we do not encourage them being bought for any other purpose. Students do not have access to these devices during the school day.
  • All devices are to be handed in to the office on arrival and collected at the end of the school day.
  • Devices should be switched off or onto silent before being placed in the tub.
  • Smart watch devices must have school-based settings or not be connected during school times, including recess and lunch breaks
  • Students not complying with the DoE and School based policy may be issued with consequences consistent with the school's existing engagement policies.

To support our year 5/6 cohort for needing to walk up to the office, an additional storage container has been provided in their space. Students in 5/6 are asked to place their device in this container and then it is bought to the office for safe storage throughout the day. The tub is then returned before the end of the school day.

Should you have any questions regarding this policy, please reach out.
