This is our final newsletter for 2024, and it has been a BIG end to the school year.
Last Thursday, we held our beautiful Carols Night, where it was a thrill to watch our students perform with such enthusiasm and joy. It was also a delight to see so many of our families and friends come along to enjoy the event. Please see some of the great photos of this event in this newsletter issue.
We thank the school community for raising $2242 from the raffle ticket sales and $557 from the sausage sizzle held on the Carols Night. On Monday night, I met with School Council, who have looked at some ideas for spending this money on enhancing the front playground area for 2025.
Last night we held our Year 6 Graduation Ceremony in our gym. It was a lovely night full of reflections, memories and recognition of some amazing achievements from our Year 6 students. Proud families and staff were thrilled to be part of a special time, and we wish them every success for their future.
Our Year 6 scholarship winners were:
Academic excellence: Sujay
Excellence in English: Charlotte

Staffing Announcements
Hello! I'm Miss Weston, and I'm thrilled to be joining the Foundation team at Clyde PS in 2025. With 18 years of teaching experience, I’m excited to bring my passion for education and share my experiences with both the students and the school community. Outside of teaching, I love to travel, and visiting Disney parks around the world is one of my favourite hobbies. I’m also looking forward to an exciting new chapter in my life as my daughter will
be starting school next year. Over the Summer holidays, we’re embarking on a Disney cruise – a wonderful adventure for us! If you see me around the school, please don’t hesitate to say hello or lend me a hand as I get to know the school better. Wishing you all a fantastic holiday season, and I can’t wait to see you in 2025!
Hi there! I am Miss Hosking, and I am delighted to be joining the Grade 1 team next year at Clyde PS. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science, and I recently graduated with my Master in Primary education. I believe that every student is unique, and I teach because it is the most effective and enjoyable way to change the world! I look forward to working with the
School community and guiding my students to success. Some of my favourite things to do is holidaying in tropical locations (most recently Port Douglas), as it reminds me of my original home town of Cairns. I look forward to seeing you all next year and hope you have a safe and enjoyable break. I am very excited to be starting this new exciting chapter in 2025!
Hello! I’m Mr Hale, and I am excited to be joining the Year 6 team at Clyde PS in 2025. As a graduate teacher, I am ready to embark on this new chapter in my life and look forward to
what the future holds. Outside of teaching, I am a lover of all things sport, whether it be as a supporter or a participator. Most weekends I can be found watching the AFL or NBA, cheering on my favourite teams. If you see me around the school, feel free to say hi or introduce yourself as I look to become involved within the school community. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday break and cannot wait to meet many of you in 2025!
