SOUTHERN METROPOLITAN REGIONAL ATHLETICS:

On Monday 21st October, 20 of our students competed at Casey Fields for the Regional Athletics. These students are the top students from some 200 schools. Competing against a number of  students who do athletics outside of school, considering none of the LPPS students do athletics as a sport, they did a wonderful job at representing our school and should be extremely proud of their performances.

10 Years:

Millie S - 3rd Shot Put

MJ K - 8th Discus

Rhett P - 12th Long Jump

Finn D - 11th Triple Jump

Ethan M - 13th Hurdles

Boys 4 x 100m relay – 10th (Lennon K, Rhett P, James I, Austin T)

11 Years:

Georgia Z - 7th Discus

Sarah M - 15th Triple Jump

Arlo D - 3rd Discus

Lincoln J - 5th Long Jump

Girls 4 x 100m relay – 4th, missing 3rd by a mere 0.27 of a second (Sarah M, Anna F, Lilah B, Abby W)

Boys 4 x 100m relay – 9th (Tyler Z, Lincoln J, Jai L, Arlo D)

12/13 Years:

Charlotte K - 13th Hurdles

Will S - 18th Hurdles

GOOD LUCK OLLIE AT STATE

Winning the 11 Years Shot Put, with a personal best throw of 10.39m, Ollie W has now qualified for State, which will be held at Lakeside Stadium on Wednesday 6th November. I look forward to reporting on Ollie's performance in the next newsletter.
