Wellbeing Report

2025

Thank you for your friendship preferences and emails regarding special considerations. Staff will use their professional knowledge and expertise to build the classes over the next 6 weeks. We will then assign the best fit teachers to the classes. Everyone will know their new class and teacher by UP Day (Dec 10)

*REAL SCHOOLS-Our next set of explicit expectations will be based around students having a school hat. The Uniform Policy has been updated and will be on the website for you to peruse. We will have an organised ‘hat inspection’ once a week. Families will know when it is going to be and we will be able to use the COMPASS notification to let you know if your child is missing their hat. We are a SunSmart School and work hard to remain compliant with the expectations involved with that.

*BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT

You will have noticed that you are now receiving COMPASS notifications for positive behaviours. IEPs and BSPs for your child are also available for you to view in their profile.

We are working with our network schools in Langwarrin to review our Behaviour Management model. We have a consistent expectation model at the moment and a consistent process we follow. We feel it will be valuable to review what other schools are doing but also to open up the negative behaviour portal to parents to add to our efficiency.

BELLA

Bella continues to be amazing and an integral member of the wellbeing team. We regularly review with students the expectations around engaging with Bella. It is particularly important students remember to be quiet when near her and pat her on the approved zones – chest, back or tummy.

Breakfast Club

*BREAKFAST CLUB – EATING ZONE—Students will be reminded to eat their Breakfast Club goodies in the prep oval/courtyard area. Our goal is to minimise rubbish in the yard. They can put fruit/Messy Monkeys in their bag if they want to eat it at recess.

Remember to thank our lovely volunteers!

ON-SITE PSYCHOLOGIST

We have private practitioner, psychologist Meaghan Morley, working out of our school one day a week on a Thursday.  We understand how difficult it is to get students to appointments out of school hours, and the long waiting lists people face. Thus, we feel very fortunate that we are able to offer you this service.  Meaghan completes a range of assessments including cognitive, behavioural and educational at a competitive cost. Prices start at $500. A copy of the fees available upon request.  If you would like more information, please speak with Luana Lane in the Student Support Office.

FUN IN THE YARD Year 5 Play Leaders and Helping Hub students are in the junior school courtyards each lunchtime offering an array of activities and games for them to participate in.
