Year 8 Update
Fundraising
The Year 8s worked well together to prepare for the Shelford Fair in Week 3, to raise money for the REACH Siem Reap Foundation. Thank you to the Parliamentarians for their work on this. It was wonderful to see the Shelford community take part in this event.
Here is a reflection from our Parliamentarians Isabella S and Indi W.
The school fair was an exciting day filled with fun and laughter. The year 8s got to run two stands: a hair and nails station and a “Beat the Goalie” challenge. At our hair and nails stand, we put hair extensions in, colourful clips, colourful nail polish and gems. At the “Beat the Goalie” stand, the goalies were teacher volunteers, so students had so much fun trying to kick a goal against them. Overall, we managed to raise $100, which we were very proud of! It was also great to explore the other year level stands, where we enjoyed tasty treats and fun games, making the day even more enjoyable.
We are all looking forward to the Year 8 Camp - Wed 6th – Fri 8th of November.
