Art Projection Night - A Celebration of Community and Creativity

On Monday 21 October, we finally celebrated our highly anticipated Art Projection Night, blessed with perfect weather! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the school community for their support and understanding when we had to postpone the event.

The evening was filled with excitement, community spirit, entertainment, delicious food, and a beautiful celebration of the Visual Arts. We were mesmerized by Alex the Magician, dazzled by performances from our Junior School, Senior School Concert Band, and Jazz Bands, and enjoyed face painting, henna, and countless photo booth memories.

The highlight of the night was the projection of our students’ artworks onto our beloved Helenslea , thanks to the incredible talents of Projectionist Olaf Meyer and Andrew Zhang, who brought the art to life with a symphony of music and visuals.

The food selection was a feast for the senses, including a classic sausage sizzle, dumplings, spring rolls, fairy floss, and a variety of baked treats. Each station ran seamlessly thanks to the dedication of our staff and students. I am especially grateful to those who stepped in at the last minute or stayed throughout to ensure the night was a success.

A huge thank you to our wonderful SPA team for their invaluable support with marketing, providing fairy floss, managing the photo booth, and keeping everyone hydrated by providing drinks. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.

For me personally, it was pure joy to see our school community - parents and students, both past and present - come together and celebrate. Your support and appreciation for the Visual Arts are something I hold dear, and I will carry these memories with me fondly.

Thank you all, once again!

Yours in Art,
