DASH News

In DASH over the holidays, we had a blast! The students participated in and enjoyed a range of different activities. We spent a lot of our time outdoors where the main attraction for the students was skipping, both students and educators were seen perfecting their skills and improving every day!

The excursions on offer over the holidays were Gold Rush Mini Golf where we were challenged by the two amazing fun filled courses, the indoor glow-in-the-dark being a fan favourite. We went to the movies to see ‘Runt’, learnt some new gymnastics skills and went rock climbing at the Ballarat Aquatic centre and then across to the lake for a picnic and play at the adventure playground. We also went across to the Doug Dean playground where we enjoyed a sausage sizzle.

On the last Friday of the holidays we were lucky enough to have Felicity Smolenaers  take us on an archaeology adventure where the children dug up some incredible historic pieces. It was a great day and the children learnt so much! Thank you Felicity.

Although we had some amazing activities planned, the children also enjoyed plenty of downtime, we watched movies, cooked a range of sweet treats, made some beautiful craft pieces and had lots of fun with our friends.

Thank you to all the DASH children for making these past holidays such a fun filled two weeks!
