Early Years News

Pre-K to Year 2

Dear Early Years Families,

Welcome to Week Five! It’s been a busy and joyful time for our youngest learners as they dive into exciting activities and experiences, connecting with older students and exploring new learning opportunities.

Our Kindy students recently had a very special experience attending their first All Saints Day Liturgy with their House groups. We were delighted to see our Year Ten students step up as wonderful buddies, guiding and supporting the Kindy students throughout the service. It was heartwarming to witness these meaningful connections being built across year levels.

Our Year One and Two students enjoyed an engaging RAC Road Safety Incursion. This session introduced them to the basics of road safety, helping them understand how to stay safe as they move about. The students played an interactive game, where students were acting as cars and pedestrians on or near the road. It was an invaluable experience that brought fun and important learning together, and we are grateful to RAC for this opportunity.

The Christmas spirit is starting to fill our Early Years classes as students begin rehearsing for our upcoming Christmas Concert and Salvado’s Got Talent performances. There’s a buzz of excitement as our young performers prepare to showcase their talents – we can’t wait to see them shine!

We’re also looking forward to welcoming new faces with our upcoming Kindy Orientation sessions. These sessions are an opportunity for new families, as well as existing Pre-Kindy families, to get a feel for our Early Years environment. We’re excited to introduce them to our community and help them feel at home at Salvado Catholic College.

In the coming weeks, we’ll hold our Transition Day, where students will move into their 2025 learning spaces. This day is designed to help them become familiar with their new environments and participate in some fun activities. It’s a wonderful way to build excitement and ease the transition as they step into the next phase of their learning journey.

Thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm. We’re looking forward to a joyful end to the term filled with celebration, connection, and learning.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Lisa Ripley
