Colour Explosion School Run 4 Fun

Our Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun is on FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2024! This event is a whole college event, so it is open to all students in primary school and secondary school. Fundraising CLOSES 11:59pm THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER so make sure all your online fundraising is complete via your profile. There are still a few hours to donate. If you don’t have your own profile set up, simply donate to the Friends of Salvado profile.

PRIZE ORDERING is open from 7 NOV

Every student who has raised $10 or more can choose a prize! Pick a prize from your highest category, or mix and match up to a total of 5 prizes. Prizes can be ordered online: https://myprofilepage.com.au.

Don’t want the prizes? Donate to a cause instead! You get the choice to donate to:

Carbon Neutral (tree planting),
Great Barrier Reef Foundation (coral planting or turtle protection),
The Smith Family (reading support) or
OzHarvest (providing meals).

If you get stuck, your sponsorship booklet contains everything you need to know. You can order your prizes between 7 – 14 November.

ON THE DAY OF OUR COLOUR EXPLOSION SCHOOL RUN 4 FUN

Friday 22nd November will be a free-dress day for all students taking part in the colour run that afternoon. You do not need to fundraise to take part and the event is open to all students from Kindy to Year 10. Children are to come to school appropriately dressed in a white t-shirt (no singlets allowed), and shorts and shoes which can be washed, as clothing may stain. Children have the option of removing their shoes for the obstacle course. The event will be staggered per year group and timing is yet to be confirmed by the College. Each year group will complete an obstacle course while being sprayed with coloured powder by our volunteers and also run through foam!

The College sent out an opt-out form last week. It is also available via the Notices section of the College app. Only complete this form if your child is NOT taking part in the Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun on 22 November.

Due to safety, non-school age children will not be permitted on the oval during the event and during set up as this event is for Salvado Catholic College students only. Parents who wish to watch, can do so from Mead Street carpark. Gates will not be opened until 2.45pm as usual.

Call for Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers for the following upcoming events:

Colour Explosion Run4Fun on 22 November 2024 – help setting up, on the day and also help organising obstacle course (tyres, rope climb, etc). We are open to amazing ideas and donations of items! It’s so much fun, you’ll love helping at this one!

Nominations Open - FoS Executive Committee

Nominations for 2025's FoS Executive Committee are now open. Two positions are open - Vice President and Treasurer.

The Friends of Salvado Committee is an integral part of our College Community, and is crucial to the successful execution of fundraising and charity work, and events organised for our students.

FoS works closely with our College Leadership Team, Administration & Finance Teams as well as our Teachers. Your involvement with the College will positively benefit the College community as a whole, and your children! Research has shown that children whose parents volunteer at school, have better grades, perform better and are generally more successful in school.

If you would like to serve on the Executive Committee, or would like to nominate someone, take the opportunity to submit a nomination now! For a description of the Committee roles - Vice President and Treasurer, contact FoS at fos@salvado.wa.edu.au.
