Congratulations to the following students
Ella Edwards (Year 12), who has been announced as the runner-up in the non-fiction category of the Hachette Australia Prize for Young Writers. This outstanding achievement highlights Ella's talent – her entry was chosen from over 350 submissions, earning her second place nationally. We look forward to following Ella's writing journey.
Seisia Myler (Year 12), who has secured a traineeship with St Michael's Collegiate Pool –Sport and Recreation. Well done, Seisia! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication, and we wish you the very best as you take this exciting step in your career.
Caitlin Tomlinson (Year 9), who has been invited to attend the 2025 UK Development Camp in London, where she will work alongside talented soccer stars from the West Ham United, Manchester and Edinburgh Football Clubs. As part of the program, Caitlin will receive one-on-one training sessions, as well as the opportunity to test her skills against UK youth teams. While in London, Caitlin also hopes to catch a few live soccer games. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Caitlin. We look forward to hearing all about it!
Meg Brewer, Hayley Newsham-West (Year 9) and Charlotte Pritchard (Year 8), who have been selected in the U16 Girls Playing Squad for 2025. Congratulations to these superstar hockey players and best wishes for the upcoming season!
Audrey Farrelly (Year 7), who made an unforgettable debut in cricket recently, stepping in as an injury replacement for New Town's premier league women's side. The up-and-coming bowler took her first wicket and then went on to claim five more, finishing with extraordinary figures of six for 24 from her four overs. Excellent work, Audrey!
Amy Houareau (Year 6)and Lyla Fairfield (Year 5), who are starring in the Musical Theatre Crew's production of Finding Nemo Junior, which is performing at the Peacock Theatre from 1–10 November. We are excited to see Amy and Lyla in action on the stage! Tickets for the musical can be purchased online here.
