Recognition of overseas skills
It is estimated that 44% of permanent migrants living in Australia are working below their level of skill and qualification. The current system is complex, confusing and difficult to navigate.
There are moves to improve migrant employment pathways and reform the system of overseas skills recognition. To find out more about the campaign see Activate Australia’s Skills. Migrants can seek specialised employment, education and training help now by contacting the Multicultural Services Centre Jobs and Skills Centre in Cannington.
