Grade 5/6 News
Welcome to Term Four!
Our Grade 5/6 students have transitioned smoothly back into school life and are looking forward to a few key events this term, especially our Grade 5/6 Camp!
You should have received a packing list as well as a medication form if you had previously indicated your child would require medication on camp. If you have not received these documents, please get in contact with your child’s classroom teacher.
More information will be shared over the coming weeks.
Another exciting event happening this term is our swimming program which will occur in Week 6. This is a big week and one where would appreciate your support assisting with ratios and supervision if you are available.
An opportunity to indicate your availability will be on the permission form that is sent home.
Our Throughline learning this term is History and we have started to explore defining moments in Australian history in our English time.
During Maths, our current focus is on Probability. Students will be engaging in some investigatiuon that require them to explore the probabilities of outcomes in chance experiments.
Ask your students about their learning in the ‘Name Plate Task’ or the ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ task.
Our Religious Education Unit for the next 4 weeks is Sacraments.
We are looking at the seven Sacraments and their importance in the Catholic context.
This Friday at 9.10am we will have a Grade 5/6 Liturgy in our school Chapel.
All welcome.
